I’m Kevin, officially Kan Zhang, an incoming student at Dartmouth College.

I intend to major in philosophy with minors in logic and linguistics.

I enjoy reading and writing about metaphysics. I’ve published a short paper with Think on personal identity, which won the 2025 Think Essay Prize. I’m also the winner of the 2024 John Locke Essay Prize from more than 34,000 submissions.
